We hear this all the time. You've been pumping for months, you've built a stash you're genuinely proud of — and now your freezer looks like a lactation bag convention. There's no room for anything else. The ice cream is gone. Your partner hasn't said a word but you can tell.
The stash pressure is real. And the frustrating part isn't even the space — it's knowing that frozen breastmilk has a clock on it. In a standard home fridge-freezer in Singapore, you're working with roughly three to six months. You pumped all of that. It deserves better than an expiry date.
This is exactly the problem we set out to solve when we launched LyoBB.
What we do, in plain terms
We convert your frozen breastmilk into a shelf-stable powder using a process called freeze-drying (lyophilisation). Your milk is frozen solid, then placed in a vacuum chamber where the water content sublimates — turning directly from ice into vapour without going through a liquid stage. What stays behind is a concentrated powder with the nutrients, fats, proteins, and antibodies your milk already contained.
The process is gentle. It uses cold and vacuum pressure, not heat — which means the delicate components of your breastmilk aren't disrupted the way they would be with high-temperature methods.
What changes, and what doesn't
The water leaves — roughly 90% of it. Everything else stays. Your antibodies, your immunoglobulins, your vitamins, your macronutrients — they're in the powder. And so is about a year's worth of pumping effort that's no longer racing against a six-month window.
What also changes: the space your milk takes up. Those bags become compact, lightweight mylar pouches that fit in a drawer. No freezer required while sealed.

You don't transport anything. Our logistics partner comes to your doorstep with a cooler bag and ice packs. Your milk stays frozen throughout. At our ISO 13485-certified lab in Kallang, every batch is processed individually — your milk never mixes with another mummy's. It comes back to you in sealed, labelled mylar pouches with reconstitution instructions specific to your batch.
